Dubbing/Editing
Dubbing pictures from a tape to a “Memory
Stick Duo”
You can record movies or still images on a
“Memory Stick Duo.” Make sure you have
a recorded tape and a “Memory Stick Duo”
inserted into your camcorder.
For DCR-HC46/HC96:
Do not insert/eject the cassette while your
camcorder is on the Handycam Station. This
may cause a malfunction.
1 Slide the POWER switch
repeatedly to turn on the PLAY/
EDIT lamp.
2 Search and record the scene you
want to record.
When you dub pictures as a still image
Touch (Play) to play back the
tape, then press PHOTO lightly at the
scene you want to record. Check the
image and press it fully.
When you dub pictures as a movie
Touch t [MENU] t
(EDIT/PLAY) t [ REC MOVIE]
t (Play) to play back the tape,
then touch [REC START] at the point
you want to start recording.
At the point you want to stop recording,
touch [REC STOP]t (Stop) t
t .
The date and time the picture is recorded on the
tape and stored on the “Memory Stick Duo” are
recorded. On your camcorder, the date and time
the picture is recorded on the tape are displayed.
Camera setting data recorded on the tape cannot
be stored on the “Memory Stick Duo.”
The sound is recorded in 32kHz monaural.
For the recording time of movies, see page 58.
For DCR-HC46/HC96:
Still images will be fixed to image size [0.2M]
when playing back the 16:9 picture, or [VGA
(0.3M)] when playing back the 4:3 picture.
For DCR-HC96:
The playback pictures edited using [DELAY
MOTION] in [D. EFFECT] cannot be dubbed to
a “Memory Stick Duo.”
