Chapter 2 Preparations
Setting Up
Besides the setup items described in the Setup Instructions,
the following configuration operations should be done to
operate this system:
Creating player groups
Selecting materials to be used
Setting up the VSPA-D7 software
Selecting the default screen layout
Check the configurations, and modify them, if necessary.
Creating Player Groups
The VSPA-D7 software manages the players classified
into groups according to the content they play, and the
screen resolution and orientation (portrait or landscape) of
the displays connected to the respective players.
Create groups and classify the players into groups in the
“Group Setup” window.

Click the button of the VSPA-D7
software to display the buttons related to setup
operations.

Click the button.
The “Group Setup” window appears.

Click [Add] in the “Group Settings” section.
The “Edit Group” window appears.

Enter the name of the group, select the resolution using
the “Resolution” drop-down list box, then click [OK].
The “Edit Group” window closes, and the group name
entered appears in the “Group” drop-down list box of
the “Group Setup” window.

Select the players to be registered in the created group
in the “All VSP-NS7s within System” list.
To select more than one player, hold down the Ctrl key
and click the desired players.
To select all players within a range, hold down the
Shift key and click the first and last players in the
range.

Click [Add >>].
The selected players appear on the “VSP-NS7 within
Selected Group” list. Their names are displayed in
gray on the “All VSP-NS7s within System” list.

Repeat steps 5 and 6 if there is a player to be registered
in this group.
To register players in a different group, select the
desired group in the “Group” drop-down list box, and
return to step 5.
To create a new group, return to step 3.

After you finish registering the players in groups, click
[OK].
The “Group Setup” window closes.
To remove a player from a group
Select the group using the “Group” drop-down list box,
select the player to be removed on the “VSP-NS7 within
Selected Group” list, then click [<< Remove].
To modify a name and/or resolution
Select the group using the “Group” drop-down list box,
then click [Change]. This displays the “Edit Group”
window.
Modify the name and/or the setting of the resolution there,
then click [OK].
To delete a group
Select the group to be deleted using the “Group” drop-
down list box, then click [Delete]. And then click [Yes]
when a confirmation message is displayed.
