Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Your PhotoPC 700 is easy to take care of, and any
problems you may have should be easy to solve.
See the following section for guidance on cleaning and
storing the camera. For solutions to common camera
problems, see the section beginning on page 6-2.
Maintenance
Your PhotoPC 700 camera requires only basic care.
Before you do any maintenance procedures on the
camera, be sure to read the Safety Instructions in the
Introduction. Then follow these guidelines:
Cleaning the camera
Use a clean, dry cloth to keep the camera free of dust.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
To clean the lens, first blow off any loose dust or dirt.
Then breathe on the lens and wipe off all moisture
with a soft, lint-free cloth or lens cleaning tissue.
To avoid scratching the lens, be careful not to press
too hard.
If necessary, clean the battery contacts with a dry
cloth.
Storing the camera
Make sure the camera’s power is off and keep your
camera in its case when you are not using it.
When the camera is not used for long period of time,
remove the batteries and store them at a low
temperature in a dry location. This prevents camera
damage from battery leaks or corrosion.
Do not store the camera in the following locations:
Where it will be exposed to direct sunlight; for
example, on a car dashboard
