Using Panorama Assist
Using a tripod makes the composition easier. When using a tripod to stabilize the
camera, set Vibration reduction (
E69) to Off in the setup menu.
1 Select U Panorama assist and press the k
button.
The I icon is displayed to show the direction in which
pictures are joined.
2 Use the multi selector to choose the direction,
and press the k button.
Select the direction in which pictures are joined in the
completed panorama: right (I), left (J), up (K) or
down (L).
The yellow icon (II) moves to the selected direction,
so press the k button to select the direction. A white
icon (I) is displayed in the selected direction.
Apply flash mode (A56), self-timer (A59), focus mode (A62) and exposure
compensation (A64) settings with this step, if necessary.
Press the k button again to reselect the direction.
3 Frame the first portion of the
panorama scene, and take the first
picture.
The camera focuses on the subject at the
center of the frame.
1/3 of the image will be displayed as
translucent.
4 Shoot the next picture.
Match the outline of the next picture so that
1/3 of the frame overlaps the previous
picture, and press the shutter-release button.
Repeat until you have taken the necessary
number of pictures to complete the image.
