Preparation 1 Charge the Battery
1 Connect the power cable in the order indicated below.
2 Insert the included battery
(Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL12)
into the battery charger by sliding the
battery forward (

), and press down
until it locks into place (

).
• CHARGE lamp starts flashing when charging
starts.
• A fully-exhausted battery charges in about 2
hours and 30 minutes.
• When charging is complete, the CHARGE lamp
stops flashing.
• See “Understanding CHARGE Lamp” (A15).
3 When charging is complete, remove the battery, and then unplug the
charger.
