Audio Troubleshooting
The following table lists audio-related problems, their explanations,
and possible solutions.
Problem Explanation Solution
No Audio You may not have your
audio hooked up correctly.
Select Generate Tone
(System
Info>Diagnostics>Generate
Tone). If you cannot hear a
tone, perform the following
checks:
1. Check your audio
connection (See “Audio
Connection,” on page 59)
2. Look in System
Info>Setup>Audio and
verify that you have
selected the correct
microphone setting.
3. Check the volume
controls in System
Info>Setup>Audio to make
sure they are set correctly.
4. Check the speaker
connection and volume
setting.
If you can hear a tone, but
cannot hear the other side,
make sure that the other
end is not muted.
No sound effects. Your Wave audio setting
may be low.
Check the Wave audio level
in System
Info>Setup>Audio.
