Installation Errors
The following table lists installation-related error messages, their
explanations, and solutions.
H.323 Errors
The following errors are specific to H.323 gatekeepers.
Error Message Explanation Solution
ViaVideo generates the
following error message
while attempting to install:
Unable to open
temporary file
The installer program can
not create the temporary file
needed to run the install.
Remove any directories that
begin with
_is
from their
Windows temp directory
and restart the install.
Error Message Explanation Solution
Gatekeeper Unregistered ViaVideo has been
unregistered from your
gatekeeper.
1. Check the Gatekeeper IP
address.
2. Check that the
gatekeeper is still
operational and
configured correctly.
Gatekeeper Not Found The gatekeeper registration
information is incorrect.
1. Check the Gatekeeper IP
address.
2. Check that the
gatekeeper is still
operational and
configured correctly.
Gatekeeper Duplicate Alias The gatekeeper registration
was not successful because
another system is using the
same user name.
Check with your system
administrator for a valid user
name.
