AXIS 233D - Event Config
Event Types
An Event Type is a set of parameters
describing how and when the
Network Dome Camera is to perform
certain actions.
Example: If a door is opened, and an event
has been configured to act on this, the Network
Dome Camera can record and save video images
to an FTP server or send a notification email to a
pre-configured email address with a pre-config-
ured message. Video images can be sent as an
attachment with the email.
Triggered Event
A triggered event can be activated by:
A signal from external equipment connected to an input port on the camera, for
example a pushbutton.
A manual action such as clicking the Manual trigger button on the Live View
page. Events can also be triggered manually via the product’s API (Application
Programming Interface).
Movement in a motion detection window.
A rise or fall of the sound level.
Restart (reboot), for example after power loss.
Temperature outside the operating range of the camera. This could for example
indicate problems with the outdoor housing.
PTZ preset positions.
•Auto tracking.
How to set up a triggered event
This example describes how to set the Network Dome Camera to upload images when the
main door is opened:
