4.4 Setting the Roll Paper
CAUTION Do not use the roll paper other than the specified in thismanual.
In case of using the roll paper other than the specified, there is a case that the print quality
and reliability may not be guaranteed.
(1) Holding the projections on the both sides of the printer cover, open it until it stops.
CAUTION The printer cover is not detachable. Do not try to further open beyond the stop position.
Do not insert roll paper with its end fluffed or bent.
(2) Cut the end of roll paper approximately at a right angle.
CAUTION Do not insert roll paper with its end fluffed or bent.

(3) Confirming winding direction of roll paper, put it on the roller section of the upper cover.
(4) Turn ON the power switch.
(5) Insert the tip of roll paper straight into the paper inlet (as indicated by an arrow on the case).
(6) Paper is automatically pulled into the platen roller and led into the inside of paper cutter.
(Paper comes out from paper outlet slightly.)
(7) With the printer cover closed, paper feed is carried out automatically for a few lines and paper cut is carried
out automatically. After this, printer is ready to print.
Then, remove the excessive paper which was cut automatically.
