[Memory card parameter error]
The card is not of SD standard.
Use a card compatible with the camera.
SD memory cards (8 MB to 2 GB)
SDHC memory cards (4 GB to 32 GB)
SDXC memory cards (48 GB, 64 GB)
[Read Error] / [Write Error] [Please check the card]
Data reading has failed.
→ Check whether the card has been inserted correctly (→19).
Data writing has failed.
→ Turn off the camera and remove the card. Reinsert the card and turn the camera on again.
The card may possibly be damaged.
Try with a different card.
[Cannot record due to incompatible format(NTSC/PAL) data on this card.]
Format the card after saving the necessary data on a computer etc. (→64)
→ Insert a different card.
[Motion recording was cancelled due to the limitation of the writing speed of the card]
Motion picture recording may be automatically terminated with certain cards.
→ If recording stops even when using a card of the recommended speed class (→20), the data writing
speed drops. If this happens, we recommend backing up the data on the memory card and
formatting it (→64).
[A folder cannot be created]
The folder numbers in use have reached 999.
→ Save the needed data on a computer or other device, and then use [Format] on the camera. (→64)
The folder number is reset to 100 when performing [No.Reset] (→60).
[Picture is displayed for 16:9 TV] [Picture is displayed for 4:3 TV]
The supplied AV cable is connected to the camera.
→ To remove the message immediately → Press [MENU/SET].
→ To change the aspect ratio → Change [TV Aspect] (→62).
The supplied USB cable is only connected to the camera.
→ A message disappears when the cable is also connected to another device.
[This battery cannot be used]
Use a genuine Leica battery (→9).
The battery cannot be recognized as its terminals are dirty.
→ Wipe any dirt from the battery’s terminals.
[Recording failed.]
Recording may be impossible if the recording location for a 3D image is too dark/too bright, or if the
subject lacks contrast.
