Focus range
When a subject is too close to the camera, the picture may not be properly focused.

Shortest focusing distance
The shortest focusing distance is the distance from the front lens element’s surface to
the subject. This distance changes gradually depending on the zoom position.

• The focus range is displayed when operating the zoom, etc.
Distance setting range

When set to this mode, it may take some time until distant subjects come into focus.

Using a tripod and [Self Timer] is recommended. Also, we recommend that you close
the flash to set to [ ] (Forced flash off).
●
Moving the camera after focusing is likely to result in poorly focused pictures with
close subjects, due to the severely reduced depth of field.
●
The resolution may be reduced at the edges of the picture.
