Various Shooting Functions

If the camera fails to focus automatically, you can focus manually
(MF: Manual Focus).
Manual focus enables shooting at a fixed distance.

Manual focus is not available when scene mode is set to [Text Mode].
You can also use manual focus to focus on objects within the macro shooting range.
Assigning the Fn (Function) button to [AF/MF] (GP.164) allows you to switch
between auto focus and manual focus by pressing the Fn button. (GP.69)

Turn the mode dial to 5/P/A/M/SCENE.

Press the MENU/OK button.
The shooting menu is displayed.

Press the " button to select [Focus] and press the $
button.

Press the !" buttons to select
[MF].

Press the MENU/OK button.
[MF] appears on the screen.
The depth of field (GP.95) and the
focus bar are displayed on the screen.
The depth of field and the numbers
indicated on the focus bar are for
reference only.
