Attaching the 7- or 9-Type Viewfinder
For details on attaching a viewfinder, refer to the
instruction manual furnished with the viewfinder.
Proceed as follows:
Be sure that the VF connector on the viewfinder mount is
positioned at a right angle to the control panel of the
camera as shown below.
1
Place the viewfinder on the viewfinder mount of the
camera so that the mounting wedge on the bottom of
the viewfinder enters the V-shaped recess on the
viewfinder mount and that the projections on the
bottom of the viewfinder are placed at the position
shown in the figure above.
2
Push the viewfinder by the handle so that the panning
base is securely held by the viewfinder mount.
Pull the handle to check that the viewfinder is fixed to
the camera.
3
Turn the viewfinder counterclockwise.
Adjusting the pan-friction of the viewfinder
You can adjust the friction for panning the viewfinder with
the pan-friction screw. The friction increases as the screw
is turned clockwise, while the friction decreases as the
screw is turned counterclockwise.
Attach the viewfinder to the camera securely, or the
viewfinder may fall down.
