Playback
Playing back movies
This function lets you play back movies. You can fast forward the movie or
play it back one frame at a time.
Select an image with n and display the top menu.

The movie is played back. When playback
ends, the camera automatically returns to the
beginning of the movie and displays the
[MOVIE PLAY] menu.
To play the movie again, select [RESTART].
To return to playback mode, select [EXIT].

Operations during movie playback
H appears on movies that have sound
recorded. Pressing ac lets you adjust the
sound volume during playback.
a : Increases the volume.
c : Reduces the volume.
d : Each time you press the button, the
playback speed changes in the following
order: 2×; 20×; and back to 1×.
b : Plays the movie in reverse. Each time you
press the button, the playback speed
changes in the following order: 2×; 20×;
and back to 1×.
N : Pauses the movie and lets you play it back
frame by frame.
(Frame by frame playback
a : Jumps to the frame 10 frames back. If the
movie is less than 10 frames long, displays
the first frame.
c : Jumps to the frame 10 frames ahead. If the
movie is less than 10 frames long, displays
the last frame.
d :
Displays the next frame. The movie can be
played continuously by holding the button down.
b : Displays the previous frame. The movie
can be played continuously in reverse by
holding the button down.
N : Displays the [MOVIE PLAY] menu.
Note
The orange lamp beside the viewfinder blinks while the camera is reading the movie from
the card. Reading of movies may take some time. Do not open the card cover while orange
lamp is blinking. Doing so may damage the data on the card and render the card unusable.
