Slide the battery cover unlock
lever in the direction of the arrow
(1) to open the battery cover
(2).

Face the 2 mark on the battery
towards outside of the camera,
push the battery lock lever in the
direction of the arrow (3) and
insert the battery.
To remove the battery, push the battery
lock lever in the direction of the arrow (3)
with your finger. Remove the battery
when it pops out slightly.
Inserting/Removing the Battery
• Do not open the battery cover or remove the battery while the power is on.
• Remove the battery when you will not use the camera for a long while. The
battery may leak.
• If the date and time settings have been reset when you install a new battery
after a long time has passed since the battery was removed, follow the
procedure for “Setting the Date and Time” (p.64).
• Insert the battery correctly. If the battery is inserted incorrectly, it may not be
removed. Wipe the electrodes of the battery with a soft dry cloth before
inserting.
• Be careful as the camera or battery may become hot when the camera is
used continuously for a long period of time.
