Precautions
Camcorder operation
•Operate the camcorder on 7.2 V (battery pack)
or 8.4 V (AC power adaptor).
•For DC or AC operation, use the accessories
recommended in this manual.
•Should any solid object or liquid get inside the
casing, unplug the camcorder and have it
checked by a Sony dealer before operating it
any further.
•Avoid rough handling or mechanical shock. Be
particularly careful of the lens.
•Keep the POWER switch set to OFF when not
using the camcorder.
•Do not wrap up the camcorder and operate it
since heat may build up internally.
•Keep the camcorder away from strong
magnetic fields or mechanical vibration.
On handling tapes
Do not insert anything in the small holes on the
rear of the cassette. These holes are used to sense
the type of tape, thickness of tape and if the
recording tab is in or out.
Camcorder care
•When the camcorder is not to be used for a long
time, disconnect the power source and remove
the tape. Periodically turn on the power,
operate the camera and player sections and
play back a tape for about 3 minutes.
•Clean the lens with a soft brush to remove dust.
If there are fingerprints on it, remove them with
a soft cloth.
•Clean the camcorder body with a dry soft cloth,
or a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild
detergent solution. Do not use any type of
solvent which may damage the finish.
Precauciones
Empleo de la videocámara
•Alimente la videocámara con 7,2 V (paquete de
batería) o con 8,4 V (adaptador de alimentación
de CA).
•Para el funcionamiento con CC o CA, emplee
los accesorios recomendados en este manual.
•Si cae algún objeto sólido o se introduce líquido
en la unidad, desenchúfela y haga que un
proveedor Sony la revise antes de volver a
utilizarla.
•No la emplee con brusquedad y evite los golpes
mecánicos. Tenga especial cuidado con el
objetivo.
•Mantenga el interruptor POWER ajustado en
OFF cuando no utilice la videocámara.
•No cubra la videocámara cuando la utilice, ya
que puede recalentarse internamente.
•Mantenga la videocámara alejada de campos
magnéticos intensos y de vibraciones
mecánicas.
Manejo de las cintas
No inserte nada en los orificios pequeños
situados en la parte posterior del videocassette,
ya que estos orificios se emplean para detectar el
tipo de cinta, su grosor y si la lengüeta de
grabación se encuentra dentro o fuera.
Cuidados de la videocámara
•Si no va a utilizar la videocámara durante un
largo período de tiempo, desconecte la fuente
de alimentación y extraiga la cinta. Active la
alimentación periódicamente, emplee las
secciones de cámara y de reproductor y
reproduzca una cinta durante unos 3 minutos.
•Limpie el objetivo con un cepillo suave para
eliminar el polvo. Si hay huellas dactilares en
dicho objetivo, elimínelas con un paño suave.
•Limpie el exterior de la videocámara con un
paño seco y suave, o bien ligeramente
humedecido con una solución detergente poco
concentrada. No utilice ningún tipo de
disolventes, ya que pueden dañar el acabado.
