Using the aperture priority
mode
You can select the aperture to determine the
desired depth of focus field. The shutter speed is
automatically set (between 1/60 and 1/2000)
according to the aperture value to maintain
appropriate exposure.
(1)Set AUTO LOCK/HOLD to the center
position.
(2)Press PROGRAM AE so that the indicator
appears in the viewfinder.
(3)Turn the control dial to select
AE
A, then
press the dial.
(4)Turn the control dial to select the desired
aperture value. You can select from the
following 15 values: F1.6, F2, F2.4, F2.8, F3.4,
F4, F4.8, F5.6, F6.8, F8, F9. 6, F11, F14, F16, Fl9.
For a smaller aperture, select a higher value.
To return to automatic adjustment
mode
Set AUTO LOCK/HOLD to AUTO LOCK, or
press PROGRAM AE so that no indicator
appears in the viewfinder.
About the depth of focus field
The depth of focus field is the in-focus range
measured from the distance behind a subject to
the distance in front. The depth of focus field can
vary with the aperture value and the focal length.
Lowering the F value (larger aperture) reduces
the depth of focus field. Raising the F value
(smaller aperture) provides a larger depth of
focus field. Zooming in telephoto position offers
a smaller depth of focus field while the depth of
focus field in wide-angle position is greater.

automático
Ajuste AUTO LOCK/HOLD en AUTO LOCK, o
pulse PROGRAM AE hasta que el visor
electrónico no muestre ningún indicador.
Acerca de la profundidad del campo de enfoque
La profundidad del campo de enfoque es el área
que se encuentra dentro del enfoque, medida a
partir de la distancia existente detrás y delante del
objeto. Esta profundidad puede variar con el valor
de apertura y la distancia focal. Si disminuye el
valor F (apertura mayor), la profundidad del campo
de enfoque se reduce, mientras que si aumenta
(apertura menor), la profundidad del campo de
enfoque se amplía. El uso del zoom en la posición
de telefoto proporciona una menor profundidad del
campo de enfoque, mientras que dicha profundidad
será mayor en la posición de gran angular.
