When you shoot in a snowfield or on a beach in
the mid-summer and the subject may become
dark because of the extreme brightness, you can
change the brightness of the picture in the menu
system. You can also use this function when the
subject is too bright — subjects on stages, night
views, etc.
(1)While the camcorder is in Standby mode,
press MENU to display the menu in the
viewfinder.
(2)Turn the control dial to select AE SHIFT, then
press the control dial.
(3)Turn the control dial to adjust the brightness
of the picture. The picture becomes brighter
when you turn the control dial up, and darker
when you turn the control dial down. (Three
levels for each direction.)
(4)Press MENU. The menu display disappears
and the AE shift indicator appears in the
viewfinder.
To cancel the AE shift
Set AE SHIFT to the center position in the menu
system.
When adjusting the brightness
We recommend you to connect the camcorder to
a TV so that you can monitor the brightness on
the TV.
Note on the AE shift
You cannot change AE shift while adjusting the
aperture manually.

Cuando filme en una zona nevada o en una playa
en pleno verano y el objeto se oscurezca debido
al exceso de brillo, es posible cambiar el brillo de
la imagen en el sistema de menú. Igualmente
puede emplear esta función si el objeto presenta
demasiado brillo — objetos sobre escenarios,
vistas nocturnas, etc.
(1)Mientras la videocámara se encuentra en
modo de espera, pulse MENU para que el
menú aparezca en el visor electrónico.
(2)Gire el dial de control para seleccionar AE
SHIFT y, a continuación, púlselo.
(3)Gire el dial de control para ajustar el brillo de
la imagen. El brillo de ésta aumentará al girar
el dial hacia arriba, y disminuirá al girarlo
hacia abajo. (Tres niveles para cada dirección.)
(4)Pulse MENU. El menú desaparecerá, mientras
que el indicador de desplazamiento AE
aparecerá en el visor electrónico.
Para cancelar el desplazamiento AE
Ajuste AE SHIFT en la posición central en el
sistema de menú.
Al ajustar el brillo
Se recomienda conectar la videocámara a un
televisor para poder controlar el brillo en éste.
Nota sobre el desplazamiento AE
No es posible cambiar el desplazamiento AE
mientras ajusta manualmente la apertura.
