2 Set the POWER switch to ON. Check that warnings, such as the
HUMID indicator and so on, do not appear and that the BATT
indicator shows at least five segments.
• If HUMID indicator appears, wait until it disappears.
Note
After turning off the power, check whether the drum is dry (even if
the HUMID indicator is off) when the turning on the power again.
• If the BATT indicator does not show at least five segments,
replace the battery pack with a fully charged one.

6-14.
3 Check that there are no obstructions near the cassette lid. Then press
the EJECT button to open the cassette lid.
4 After checking the points below, load the cassette and close the
cassette lid.
• The cassette is not write-protected.
• There is no slack in the tape.
