Using the Controls
Mode Dial
Turn the Mode Dial to set the
camera to each mode
below.
Preview mode (w): pp. 17, 18
Auto mode ([): p. 13
Program AE mode (]): p. 41
Aperture Priority mode (;): p. 42
Shutter Speed Priority mode ('): p. 43
Manual mode (,): p. 45
Scene Select mode (.): p. 46
Movie mode (=): p. 14
Note:
• If you power on the camera with the Mode Dial
set halfway between two modes, the startup
screen stays on and the status indicator blinks
green. Set the dial so it securely snaps in to the
desired position.
Power button
To turn the power on, press the Power
button until the camera turns on.
To turn the power off, press the Power
button.
Note:
• Do not turn the power off when the status
indicator blinks.
Operation button
Use the Operation button to select
menu items and adjust menu
settings.
MENU button
Use the MENU button to turn on/off the
menu screen.
SET/DISPLAY button
When the menu screen displays, use
this button to set the selected menu
