Using Automatic
Exposure Bracketing
Available in ], ;, ', , or . mode
This function allows you to take the same
scene with three different exposure settings.
The camera automatically takes three succes-
sive images while changing the exposure value
for each image slightly.
1 Select “BRACKET” in SHOOTING
MODE menu (see page 24).
2 Press l or m to select the exposure
value for brighter and darker images,
then press the SET button.
• Bracket mode icon appears on the
screen.

3 Press the Shutter button half-
way down to focus on the
subject.
4 Press the Shutter button fully to
capture the image.
• The camera shoots three
successive images at three
different exposure values.
Below is an example of the effect you can
excpect.
Notes:
• This function cancels after one capture
sequence. To use AE Bracketing again, perform
the above steps again.
• See page 41 to read “About Exposure Value”.
• ±0.5EV may result in a suttle difference while
±2.0EV result in stronger contrast between
pictures.
