Taking Pictures

Image quality refers to the compression rate of still pictures.
The more stars, the higher the quality and the larger the filesize. The
recorded pixels setting also affects the filesize of your pictures (1p.91).
Quality Level
1 Press the 3 button in Capture mode.
The [A Rec. Mode] menu appears.
2 Use the four-way controller (23) to select
[Quality Level].
3 Press the four-way controller (5).
A pull-down menu appears.
4 Use the four-way controller (23)
to change the quality level.
Selecting the Quality Level
TIFF
Captures the image as uncompressed TIFF data. Suitable
for editing images with the ACDSee software provided with
the camera.
C
Best
Lowest compression rate. Suitable for photo prints. Images
are saved as JPEG data.
D
Better
Standard compression rate. Suitable for viewing the image
on a computer screen. Images are saved as JPEG data.
E
Good
Highest compression rate. Suitable for attaching to e-mails
or creating websites. Images are saved as JPEG data.
