Press the 4 button.
The camera returns to the Fn menu
screen.

Press the { button.
Shooting is ready and ] is displayed on the LCD panel.

Press the shutter release button halfway.
Focus indicator ] appears in the viewfinder when focused.

Press the shutter release button fully.
Three continuous pictures will be taken, the first with no compensation,
the second with negative compensation, and the third with positive
compensation.
When the [AF Mode] in the [A Rec. Mode] is set to l (Single mode), the
focus is locked in the first frame position and used for subsequent continuous
frames.
When you re le ase your finger from the shutter release button d ur in g aut o
bracketing, the auto bracketin g exposur e setti ng will remain effec tiv e for
twice a s m uch time as th e exposure m et er in g t ime r ( def ault setting is 20
seconds) (p.133) and you can take a picture at the next compensation value.
In this cas e, aut o focusing wo rk s f or each frame. Af te r ab out tw ic e as m uch
time as the exposu re metering tim er (default set tin g i s 20 seconds ), t he
camera returns to settings for taking the first picture.
Y ou can c ombine A uto Bra cket w ith th e buil t-in fl ash or extern al fl ash (P- TTL
auto only) to change only the flash output continuously. However, when using
an external flash, holding the shutter release button down to take three
continuous frames may cause the second and third frame to be taken before
the flash is fully recharged. Always take one frame at a time after confirming
that charging is com pl et e.
Auto Bracket is not availabl e wh en the exposure mo de is set to p (Bul b)
mode.
