Setting Up Your Camera
Setting the language
For PAL model cameras, you need to set the language
for messages displayed on the LCD monitor the first
time you use it. Depending on the country of
purchase, you can choose English, Japanese, French,
German, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish.
Follow these steps to set the language.
1. Turn the dial switch on the camera to
Play
. A
message stating you need to set the language
appears on the LCD screen.
Press the
ESC
,
SEL
or a navigation button, or wait
5 seconds. The language setting screen appears.
2. Press the
SEL
button until the language you want
is highlighted.
3. Press the
ESC
button to save your selection.

language” on page 3-12.
