Turning on the HyPict mode
1. Turn the dial switch on the camera to
View
.
2. Press the
SEL
button. Three menu icons appear at
the top of the LCD monitor.
3. Highlight the conditions icon using the
button, then press the
SEL
button. The Conditions
menu appears.
4. Highlight the HyPict icon using the or
button, then press the
SEL
button. HyPict is
set to
On
.
To exit the Conditions menu, press the
ESC
button two
times.
Setting the flash
The built-in flash is effective within a range of
80 to 270 cm. The range varies depending on
the Sensitivity setting (see page A-2 for
details). Turn on the camera and press the
flash
button on the camera to cycle through
the three flash settings. The settings appear on
the display panel as shown below.
Automatic
The flash fires automatically whenever
more lighting is needed.
Forced flash
The flash fires with every picture you
take. Use this setting to compensate for
backlighting; for example, when you are
facing the sun.
