Remove
the
processor-board
assembly
from
the
server:
a.
Press
to
unlock
the
levers
securing
the
processor-board
assembly,
and
pull
up
on
the
levers
to
release
the
processor-board
assembly.
b.
Slide
the
assembly
toward
the
right
side
of
the
server.
c.
Carefully
remove
the
processor-board
assembly
from
the
server,
and
place
it
on
a
static-free,
clean
work
surface.

the
microprocessor
assemblies
and
power
modules
that
will
be
reused.

Place
the
new
processor-board
assembly
on
a
static-free,
clean
work
surface,
and
install
the
microprocessors
and
power
modules
that
were
removed
in
the
preceding
step
into
the
new
processor
board.

8.
Reinstall
the
processor-board
assembly
in
the
server.
Note:
When
you
install
or
remove
the
processor-board
assembly,
the
server
configuration
information
changes.
Therefore,
you
must
use
the
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program
to
change
and
save
the
new
configuration
information
(see
“Starting
the
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program”
on
page
12).
9.
Reinstall
the
retention
bracket.
10.
Replace
the
two
shipping
thumbscrews.
11.
Reinstall
the
memory-board
assembly.
