Histogram Display/RGB Histogram Display
Use the four-way controller (23) to switch between the Histogram Display and
RGB Histogram Display.
* Indicator 4 appears only when the file format of the last captured image is JPEG,
and the image can also be saved in RAW format. (p.70)
A histogram shows the brightness
distribution of an image. The
horizontal axis represents brightness
(dark at the left and bright at the right)
and the vertical axis represents the
number of pixels.
The shape and the distribution of the
histogram before and after shooting
tell you whether the exposure level
and contrast are correct or not, and let you decide if you need to adjust the
exposure and take a picture again.
