If you want to turn off the camera while its cable is connected
to the computer, use the procedure recommended for any
SCSI device: (1) turn off the computer, and (2) turn off the
camera. To disconnect the camera from the computer, see
Disconnecting the camera from your computer on page 29.
Restoring computer
control
After releasing the camera from computer control as
described above, you can place the camera back under
computer control with these steps:
If the Release Camera dialog box is still visible
If you left the Release Camera window visible as described in
the previous section, click on the Reconnect button to restore
camera control to the computer.
If the Release Camera dialog box is not visible
If you returned to the image-processing application or closed
PDC-2000 Direct after releasing the camera from computer
control, use the following steps to restore camera control to
the computer:
1 Start your image-processing application or PDC-2000 Direct.
2 If you are using PDC-2000 Direct, skip to step 3.
If you are using an image processing application, choose
Acquire from the File menu, then choose PDC-2000.
3 If the Take Pictures window is not visible, click the Take
Pictures button to display it and restore camera control to the
computer.
