settings (AREA SET/BEEP, etc.)

You can adjust a time difference without
stopping the clock. When you use your
camcorder abroad, you can adjust the clock
to the local time.
You can change this setting without
stopping the clock. Set to [ON] to move the
time forward 1 hour.
BOFF
Does not set the summertime.
ON
Sets the summertime.
You can select the language to be used on
the LCD screen.
z Tips
Your camcorder offers [ENG[SIMP]]
(simplified English) in case that you cannot find
your native tongue among the options.
Press the MENU button t select
(OTHERS) with the SEL/PUSH EXEC
dial.

Does not superimpose the date and time on
images.
ON
Superimposes the date and time on images.

When zebra or peaking is activated, the date and
time characters are affected by the signal, but
properly recorded on images.
BOFF
Cancels the melody.
ON
Activates a melody when you start/stop
recording, or when you are warned with
warning indicators, etc.
When you set this function to [OFF], you
can turn off the front camera recording
lamp. The default setting is [ON].

You can assign this function to an ASSIGN
button (p. 45).
