•Keep the POWER switch set to OFF when not
using the camcorder.
•Do not wrap up the camcorder and operate it
since heat may build up internally.
•Keep the camcorder away from strong
magnetic fields or mechanical vibration.
•Do not push the LCD screen.
•If the camcorder is used in a cold place, a
residual image may appear on the LCD screen.
This is not a malfunction.
•While using the camcorder, the back of the LCD
screen may heat up. This is not a malfunction.
On handling tapes
Do not insert anything in the small holes on the
rear of the cassette. These holes are used to sense
the type of tape, thickness of tape and if the
recording tab is in or out.
Camcorder care
•When the camcorder is not to be used for a long
time, disconnect the power source and remove
the tape. Periodically turn on the power,
operate the camera and player sections and
play back a tape for about 3 minutes.
•Clean the lens with a soft brush to remove dust.
If there are fingerprints on it, remove them with
a soft cloth.
•Clean the camcorder body with a dry soft cloth,
or a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild
detergent solution. Do not use any type of
solvent which may damage the finish.
•If fingerprints or debris make the LCD screen
dirty, we recommend using a LCD Cleaning Kit
(not supplied) to clean the LCD screen.
•Do not let sand get into the camcorder. When
you use the camcorder on a sandy beach or in a
dusty place, protect it from the sand or dust.
Sand or dust may cause the unit to malfunction,
and sometimes this malfunction cannot be
repaired.

Charging
•Use only a lithium ion type battery pack.
•Place the battery pack on a flat surface without
vibration during charging.
•The battery pack will get hot during charging.
This is normal.

•Cuando no vaya a utilizar la videocámara,
ponga el selector POWER en OFF.
•No utilice la videocámara envuelta porque
podría recalentarse internamente.
•Mantenga la videocámara alejada de campos
magnéticos intensos y de vibraciones

•No empuje la pantalla de cristal líquido.
•Si utiliza la videocámara en un lugar frío, es
posible que en la pantalla de cristal líquido
aparezca una imagen residual. Esto no significa
mal funcionamiento.
•Cuando utilice la videocámara, la parte
posterior de la pantalla de cristal líquido puede
calentarse. Esto no significa mal
funcionamiento.
Manejo de los videocassettes
No inserte nada en los pequeños orificios de la
parte posterior del videocassette. Estos orificios
se utilizan para detectar el tipo de cinta, su
grosor, y si la lengüeta está deslizada o no.
Cuidados de la videocámara
•Cuando no vaya a utilizar la videocámara
durante mucho tiempo, desconecte la fuente de
alimentación y extraiga el videocassette.
Conecte periódicamente la alimentación, ponga
en funcionamiento las secciones de
videocámara y reproductor, y reproduzca una
cinta durante unos 3 minutos.
•Limpie el objetivo con un cepillo suave para
quitar el polvo. Si hay huellas dactilares,
elimínelas con un paño suave.
•Limpie el cuerpo de la videocámara con un
paño suave y seco, o con un paño suave
ligeramente humedecido en una solución poco
concentrada de detergente. No utilice ningún
tipo de disolvente, ya que podría dañar el
acabado.
•Si las huellas dactilares o las manchas han
ensuciado la pantalla de cristal líquido,
recomendamos utilizar un juego de limpieza de
pantallas de cristal líquido (no suministrado)
para limpiarla.
•No permita que entre arena en la videocámara.
Cuando utilice la videocámara en una playa o
en un lugar polvoriento, protéjala contra la
arena o el polvo. La arena o el polvo, puede
causar el mal funcionamiento de la unidad, y a
veces este mal funcionamiento puede resultar
irreparable.

Carga
•Utilice solamente una batería de tipo iones de
litio.
•Cargue la batería sobre una superficie plana y
sin vibraciones.
•La batería se calentará durante la carga. Esto es
normal.
