Optimizing the
recording condition
Use this feature to check the tape condition
before recording, so that you can get the best
possible picture (ORC).
(1) While the camcorder is in Standby mode,
press MENU to display the menu.
(2) Turn the control dial to select ORC TO SET,
then press the dial.
“START/STOP KEY” flashes.
(3) Press START/STOP.
The camcorder takes about 10 seconds to
check the tape condition and then returns to
Standby mode.
Each time you insert the cassette
Perform the above procedures.
To see if the tape condition has been
checked
If the ORC indicator lights up in the display
window, the tape condition has been checked.
Notes on the ORC function
•When you set ORC TO SET, the recording on
the tape is erased for about 0.1 second so that
the camcorder can check the tape condition. Be
careful when you use a recorded tape. The 0.1
second blank is erased if you record from the
point where you set ORC TO SET for more than
2 seconds, or if you record over the blank.
•You cannot use this function on a tape with the
red mark on the cassette exposed.

Optimización de las
condiciones de videofilmación
Utilice esta función para comprobar las
condiciones de la cinta antes de la
videdofilmación a fin de obtener las imágenes
mejores posibles (ORC).
(1)Con la videocámara en el modo de espera,
presione MENU para hacer que se visualice el
menú.
(2)Gire el dial de control para seleccionar ORC
TO SET, y después presione el dial.
Paradeará “START/STOP KEY”.
(3)Presione START/STOP.
La videocámara tardará unos 10 segundos en
comprobar las condiciones de la cinta y
después volverá al modo de espera.
Cada vez que inserte un
videocassette
Realice los procedimientos anteriormente
mencionados.
Para saber si se han comprobado las
condiciones de la cinta
Si en el visualizador aparece ORC, se habrá
comprobado la condición de la cinta.
Notas sobre la función ORC
•Cuando haya ajustado ORC TO SET, la
grabación de la cinta se borrará durante 0,1
segundo a fin de que la videocámara pueda
comprobar las condiciones de la cinta. Tenga
cuidado cuando utilice una cinta grabada. El
espacio en blanco de 0,1 segundo se borrará si
graba desde el punto en el que ajustó ORC TO
SET durante más de 2 segundos, o si grabó
sobre el espacio en blanco.
•Usted no podrá utilizar esta función en un
videocassette con la marca roja al descubierto.
