Before Use
Small-scale Video Monitoring via Recording
Software RM-Lite
This product comes with the RM-Lite Network Video
Recording Software (P. 1-5). Images captured by up to
four cameras can be recorded and displayed in real time
to achieve small-scale video monitoring.
Encrypted Communication
This camera supports SSL/TLS (HTTPS) in addition to
IPsec.
Supporting Diverse Installation Applications
The camera is compatible with PoE*, DC12V, AC24V, and
AC adapter PA-V17 power. An optional indoor dome
housing and/or ceiling mount cover can be used to install
the camera on the ceiling (“Camera Options” in
“Installation Guide”).

Two-Way Audio (Full Duplex)
A microphone or speaker with an amplifier can be
connected*

to the camera to transmit/receive audio (full
duplex) via the viewer*

. Switch the setting on the setting
page to select LINE IN or MIC IN as your desired audio
input mode (P. 4-18).

*2 Only the RM-Lite Viewer supports two-way audio
communication.
The VB-M40 Viewer only supports audio reception.
