[TV ASPECT]

Set to match the type of TV.
- This will work when the AV cable is connected. See page 57.
[VIDEO OUT] [NTSC] - [PAL]
Set to match the colour television system in each country.
- This will work when the AV cable is connected. See page 57.
[SCENE MENU] [OFF] - [AUTO]
Set the screen that will appear when a scene mode has been
selected:
[OFF] = The recording screen in the selected scene mode appears.
[AUTO] = The scene mode menu appears.
[LANGUAGE]
Set the language to be displayed on the screen.
- If you set a different language by mistake, select
from the menu
icons to set the desired language.
[DEMO MODE] [JITTER, SUBJ. MOVE DEMO] - [AUTO DEMO]
View camera-, subject-shake and feature demonstration.
[FORMAT]
The built-in memory or card is formatted. Formatting irretrievably de-
letes all the data so check the data carefully before formatting.
- Use a battery with sufficient battery power or the AC adaptor when
formatting. Do not turn the camera off during formatting.
- If a card has been inserted, only the card is formatted. To format the
built-in memory, remove the card.
- If the card has been formatted on a PC or other equipment, format it
on the camera again.
- It may take longer to format the built-in memory than the card.
- If the built-in memory or the card cannot be formatted, consult your
nearest Service Centre.
[USB MODE]

Set how to transfer pictures from the camera:
[SELECT ON CONNECTION] = Select PictBridge or PC.
[PictBridge(PTP)] = Transfer to a PictBridge capable printer.
[PC] = Transfer to a computer.

[RESET] [REC. SETTINGS] - [SETUP PARAMETERS]
Resets the recording- or setup settings to their initial settings.
- The folder number and the clock settings are not changed.
- When the [RESET] setting is selected during recording, the operation
