Shooting Issues
Reset file
numbering
cannot be done.
Although a new folder is created in the internal
memory or on the memory card by resetting file
numbering, etc., if the sequential number of a folder
name (which is not displayed on the camera) reaches
the upper limit (“999”), reset is not possible. Change the
memory card, or format the internal memory/memory
card.

becomes hot.
The camera may become hot when used for an
extended period of time to shoot movies or send
images using an Eye-Fi card, or when used in a hot
environment; this is not a malfunction.
Camera makes
sound.
When Autofocus mode is set to Full-time AF or while
in some shooting modes, the camera may produce an
audible focusing sound.

When the camera is in playback mode, press the c
button or shutter-release button.
When menus are displayed, press the d button.
The battery is exhausted.
When the scene mode is Night portrait or
Backlighting with HDR set to Off, raise the flash.
If the flash mode icon flashes when the shutter-
release button is pressed halfway, the flash is
charging.
When using the Speedlight, refer to the
documentation provided with the Speedlight to
check the settings.
- When shooting using Advanced Wireless Lighting
photography, set the group setting to Group A.
When using the built-in flash as the commander,
set the channel of the flash unit to 3 CH.
- When the flash setting is enabled for a group other
than Group A, disable the flash setting.
