Sound is not played during movies.
• Adjust the volume (=
65) if you have activated [Mute] (=
106) or the sound in
the movie is faint.
• No sound is played for movies shot in [
] (=
55) or [ ] (=
57) mode
because audio is not recorded in these modes.
Memory Card
The memory card is not recognized.
• Restart the camera, with the memory card in it (=
13).
Wi-Fi
[ ] is not displayed, and you cannot access the Wi-Fi menu.
• The Wi-Fi menu is not available in Shooting mode. Switch to Playback mode and try
again.
• Touch the screen to switch to simple information display (=
66).
• [
]willnotbedisplayed,whenusingmagnieddisplayorindexdisplay.Switchto
single-image display and try again.
• Similarly, [
]cannotbeaccessedduringlteredimagedisplayaccordingto
speciedconditions.Canceltheplaybackstateoftheimageinimagesearchmode.

] will not be displayed when the camera is connected to a printer or computer with
a cable. Disconnect the cable.
Cannot add a device/destination.
• A total of 20 items of connection information can be added to the camera. Erase
unneededconnectioninformationfromthecamerarst,andthenaddnewdevices/
destinations (=

• E-mail is the only Web service for which multiple accounts can be set. Use
CameraWindow to change the desired Web service accounts (=
89).
• Toaddasmartphoneasadevice,rstinstallthededicatedapplication
CameraWindow on your smartphone.
• Toaddacomputerasadevice,rstinstalltheincludedsoftwareCameraWindow
on the computer. Also check your computer and Wi-Fi environment and settings
(=
92, 93).
• Do not use the camera near sources of Wi-Fi signal interference, such as microwave
ovens,Bluetoothdevices,orotherequipmentoperatingonthe2.4GHzband.
• Bring the camera closer to the other device you are trying to connect to (such as the
access point), and make sure there are no objects between the devices.
Cannot send images.
• Thedestinationdevicehasinsufcientstoragespace.Increasethestoragespaceon
the destination device and resend the images.
• The write-protect tab of the memory card in the destination camera is set to the
locked position. Slide the write-protect tab to the unlocked position.
Cannot resize images for sending.
• Images cannot be resized to be bigger than the resolution setting of their original size.
• Movies cannot be resized.
Images take a long time to send./The Wi-Fi connection is disrupted.
• Multiple images may take a long time to send. Try resizing the image to [ ] or [ ]
to reduce sending time (=
99).
• Movies may take a long time to send.
• Do not use the camera near sources of Wi-Fi signal interference, such as microwave

• When sending images to a computer from a memory card with a large amount
of images (approximately 1,000), the connection may be disrupted. Import any
necessary images to a computer, and then reduce the number of images on the
memory card by erasing unnecessary images.
Want to erase Wi-Fi connection information before disposing of the
camera or giving it to someone else.
• Reset the Wi-Fi settings (=
