Shooting in Aperture-Priority AE Mode
In aperture-priority AE mode, you can select
the aperture setting to control the depth of
field. The shutter speed will automatically be
set to match your choice of aperture setting
and the brightness of the subject.
• Setting the aperture to a small value
causes the lens to open to a large
diameter and the focal field to narrow
(depth of field is shallow).
• Setting the aperture to a large value
causes the lens to open to a small
diameter and the focal field to broaden
(depth of field is deep).
