When You Want More Control
The compensation range may vary depending on the initial
brightness of the image, and some values may be grayed out.
3 Touch [X] to apply and lock the exposure compensation
value.
•During exposure lock, y and the exposure compensation value
will appear on the screen.
Touch AE
1 Touch a subject that appears ins ide the y frame.
The Touch AE mark (I) will flash and the exposure will be opti-
mized automatically for the subject you selected.
•Touch [n] to return the camcorder to automatic exposure.
2 Touch [X] to apply the adjusted exposure.
•Using Touch AE also locks the exposure (the exposure compen-
sation dial appears with the compensation value set at ±0).
Before touching [X], you can compensate the exposure further
(steps 2 and 3 in the previous procedure).
•During exposure lock, y and the exposure compensation value
will appear on the screen.
•If the shooting mode is changed during exposure compensa-
tion, the camcorder will return to automatic exposure.
By default, the camcorder corrects for backlight conditions.
You can turn off the automatic correction with the 1 >
p > [Auto Backlight Correction] setting.
