Appendix: Menu Options Lists
[Available Space in Memory] (recording mode only)/[Used Space in
Memory] (playback mode only): Displays a screen where you can verify
how much of the memory is currently available for recording or how
much of it is in use (ª indicates photos).
•Estimated figures about available movie recording time and available
number of photos are approximate and based on the currently
selected video quality and photo size.
The information screen displays also the Speed Class rating of the
memory card.
H The [Total space] shown for the built-in memory indi-
cates actually usable space. It may be slightly smaller than the nomi-
nal built-in memory capacity listed in the specifications.
H [External Hard Drive Info] (playback mode only): When
the camcorder is connected to an external hard drive, this set
ting dis-
plays info
rmation about the hard drive.
[Notification Sounds]: A beep will accompany some operations like
turning on the camcorder, the self-timer countdown, etc.
Set to [j Off] to turn off notification sounds.
While pre-recording (A 229) is activated, the camcorder will not emit
some notification sounds.
[Custom Control Button]

A control button, which
serves as a shortcut to one of the functions in the [

Main Functions]
menu, is displayed on the lower right of the recording screen. By chang-
ing this setting, you can change the shortcut, which will allow you to
access one of your frequently used functions quickly and conveniently.
When the shooting mode is set to 9, this function is automatically
set to [Ò Decoration] and it cannot be changed.
