H Converting Movies to MP4 Format
You can convert AVCHD scenes or MP4 scenes recorded in the built-in
memory into MP4 scenes on the memory card. In addition to changing
the movie format to the more widely used MP4 format, and depending
on the original scene, you can also select a lower video quality for the
converted scenes (down-conversion) to obtain smaller file sizes. This is
convenient, for example, when you want to upload videos to the Web,
as smaller video files will upload more quickly. Additionally, when you
convert a scene, you can apply unique cinema-look filters, background
music and decorations to the converted copy.
1 Open the desired index screen in the built-in memory
(A 65).
• If you want to add background music to the converted scene,
select a music track (step 2, A 123).
• In the following cases, you will not be able to copy recordings
to the memory card:
- If the memory card slot cover is open.
-If the LOCK switch on the memory card is set to prevent
writing.
- If the folder and file numbers have reached their maximum
value (A 223).
