The HSR-X200/X200P permits you to perform the
preparatory settings required for recording and
playback using menus.
For details on menu operations, see “Menu Operations” on
page 17(GB).
OSD Language Selection
You may select the language for on-screen displays,
such as menus and messages, from among English,
French, German (HSR-X200P only) and Spanish.
Use LANGUAGE/CLOCK SET of the MAIN
MENU 1.
1 Press the MENU button to display MAIN
MENU 1.
2 Select 1. LANGUAGE/CLOCK SET by turning
the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The LANGUAGE/CLOCK SET display appears
and the current language setting is highlighted.

3 Turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The current language setting flashes.
4 Turn the Jog dial to select the desired language and
turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
5 To exit the menu, press the EXIT/OSD button.
Preparations
Clock Adjustment
Adjust the built-in clock to your local time.
Use the same LANGUAGE/CLOCK SET of MAIN
MENU 1 as with the language selection.
You may also perform the settings for summer time
(daylight savings time) and clock adjustment using the
CLOCK IN/OUT terminals.
Adjusting the clock
1 Turn the Jog dial to highlight the current setting of
CLOCK SET and turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The leftmost column flashes.

2 Turn the Jog dial to set the month (HSR-X200)/day
(HSR-X200P) and turn Shuttle dial clockwise.
The next day (HSR-X200)/month (HSR-X200P)
column flashes.
3 Similarly, set the day (HSR-X200)/month (HSR-
X200P), year, hours and minutes in the sequence.
The day of the week is automatically set.
The seconds are reset to 0 when you set the
minutes.
Activating summer (daylight savings) time
The clock will be automatically switched to summer
(daylight savings) time if you set MODE for
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS (HSR-X200)/SUMMER
TIME SET (HSR-X200P) to USE.
1 Turn the Jog dial to highlight the MODE line and
turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
NO USE (the current setting) flashes.
