Whatis an "InfoLITHIUIVI" battery
pack?
An "InfoLITHIUM" battery pack is a
lithiumqon battery pack that has functions
for communicating information related to
operating conditiotts between your
camcorder and an optional AC Adaptor/
charger.
The "InfoLITHIUM" battery pack
calculates the power consumption
according to the operating conditions of
your camcorder, and displays the remaining
battery time in minutes.
With an AC Adaptor/charger. the remaining
battery time and charging time appear.

We recommend charging d_ebattely pack in an
ambient temperamrc of between 10 °C lo 30 °C

lurns (ill. If you charge the batlery pack oulside
of Ibis temperature range, you may not be able
to dlarge it el]iciently.
After charging is complete, disconnect the cable
hom the DC IN jack on your camcorder or
rcmove the battery pack.
Tousethe batterypackeffectively
Battel 3, pack perlormance decreases when the
surrounding temperamrc is l0 °C (50 OF)or
below, and tile lcngttl of time you can use file
battcly pack becomes sholler. In that case, do

longer time.
Put tile battery pack in a pockcl to warm it up,
and insert it in your canlcorder rigla belorc
you start taking shots.

Frequent use of the LCD screen or a lrequmlt
playback, fi_stforward or rewind operation
wears out the battery pack laster.
We recommend using a large capacity battery
pack: NP-PH70/FHIO0 (optional).
Be sure to set the POWER switch to OFF
/CHG) wllen not rccording or playing back on
your camcorder. The battery pack is also
consullled when your calncorder is hi recordhlg
standby or playback pause.
Have spare battel T packs ready fftr two or tllree
times the expected recording time. and make
trial recordings belorc making die actual
recording.

Whcn the power goes off even though the
remaining battel T time indicator indicates that
the battery pack has enough power to operate,
charge the battery pack ftflly again. Remaining
battery time will be indicated correctly. Note,
however, that the battcry indication will not be
restored if it is used in high temperatures tot a
long time. or if left in a fully charged state, or
wllen file battery pack is hequently used. Use
the remaining baltel T lime indication as a rough
guide only.
The c\] mark that indicates low battery flashes
even if there are still 5 to 10 minutes of battery
time remaining, depending on the operating
condilions or anlbient lelllperatllrc,

Aboutbatterylife
Battery capacity decreases over time and
through repeated use. If decreased usage time
bclween charges becomes significant, it is
probably time to replace it with a new one.
