Using Expansion CompactFlash Cards
Chapter 4 Advanced Settings
Installing a CompactFlash Card in
the Unit
The CompactFlash card that you wish to use as an
expansion must be installed in the expansion
CompactFlash slot on the unit.

Remove the screws securing the cover of the
expansion port, and then open the cover.

Insert the CompactFlash card in the expansion
CompactFlash slot.

Close the cover of the expansion port.
Checking the Remaining Capacity
on the Expansion CompactFlash
Card
You can confirm the remaining capacity on an expansion
CompactFlash card installed on the unit in the
confirmation screen for the remaining ink ribbon. For
details on how to display the confirmation screen for the
remaining ink ribbon, see “Checking the Remaining Ink
Ribbon” on page 24.
Copying Data from the Supplied CD-
ROM
The CD-ROM supplied with the unit contains promotional
images and border print data. You can copy this data from
the CD-ROM onto the expansion CompactFlash card.

Open the Template tab on the administration screen.

Touch the [Copy All] button.
A message prompting you to insert the CD-ROM
appears, and the CD/DVD drive tray opens.
