Clip playback (continued)
Playback from text memo position
1 Display the thumbnail display screen.
2 Press [MENU/MODE CHK].
3 Using , and , select “THUMBNAIL”
– “TEXT MEMO CLIPS”, and press .
Thumbnails of the clips to which text memos
were added now appear at the top of the LCD
monitor screen. Information about the text
memo of the clip pointed by the cursor appears
at the bottom of the LCD monitor screen.

number of text memos which
were added to the clips.
Indicated here are the still
images located at the text
memos.
When the text memo display screen is
displayed as above, the image by EE output is
displayed BLACK.
4 Using and , move the cursor to the clip
which is to be played back, and press .
The cursor moves to the bottom of the LCD
monitor screen.
The cursor moves here.
5 Using or , move the cursor to the
number of the text memo to be played back,
and press .
Playback starts from the time code position of
the text memo where the cursor is positioned.
When playback ends at the end of the clip,
the thumbnail screen is restored, and the
cursor returns to the time code position where
playback was started.
6 Press [MENU/MODE CHK], and then select
“EXIT” using , , and press .
When EXIT is assigned to the [USER], if you
press [EXIT/2], the cursor returns to the top of
the thumbnail screen.
Text memos can be added while clips are being
played back or recorded. Refer to the above
“Adding text memos”. Note that text memosAdding text memos”. Note that text memos
cannot be added during playback from the above
text memo position.
During playback from the text memo position, all
buttons but are disabled.
1 During recording, playback or thumbnail
display, press [USER] to which the “TEXT
MEMO” was allocated.
If you press this button during recording or
playback, the text memo is added to the
position at which the button is pressed.
If you press this button while the thumbnail
display screen is displayed, the text memo is
added to the clip’s thumbnail image position
(normally the beginning of the clip).
Up to 100 text memos can be added to one clip.
During playback, if you press the [USER] to
which the “TEXT MEMO” was allocated, the
playback image may tentatively stops. This is not
a malfunction.
The text memo can be added only at 1x speed or
while paused.
During the single clip playback or LOOP REC,
you cannot add a text memo.
