Error displays
Errors are displayed when trouble has occurred
in the unit, P2 card, etc. If the error persists even
after turning the power off and back on, depending
on what the error message says, replace the card
or contact your dealer.

1394 INITIAL ERROR
(Connection trouble)
There is trouble in the DVCPRO/DV input/
output connector (IEEE1394) connection or the
signals are not being input or output correctly.
Check the connections between the unit and
the other device. If the error display is not
cleared, turn the power off and then back on.
1394 INPUT ERROR (OTHER FORMAT)
The input signal format differs from the
system format.

CANNOT PLAY
This appears when trouble has occurred
during playback.
CARD ERR (1) (2) (1/2)
(Trouble with the P2 card in the slot
corresponding to the number shown)
• If the warning persists, turn off the power.
• If the warning persists even when recording
is initiated again, replace the existing card
with another one.
R
REC WARNING
This appears when trouble has occurred during
recording. Initiate the recording again. If the
warning is still displayed, consult your dealer.
S
SYSTEM ERROR
This appears in the following abnormal
situations.
• This appears when trouble has occurred
in the system. Turn the system’s power off
and then back on.
• This error may appear with some
connected hard drives. Check the
connected hard drive.
P2 MICON ERROR (no response from P2
microprocessor), P2 CONTROL ERROR (P2
control trouble)

TURN POWER OFF
This appears when trouble has occurred
because a card was ejected while its data
was being accessed. Turn the system’s
power off and then back on.

RUN DOWN CARD
The maximum number of overwrites on the
P2 card has been exceeded.
Operation continues. However, recording
or playback may not operate correctly. It is
recommended that you replace the P2 card
with another one.
T
TOO MANY CLIPS!
Too many clips have been selected. Reduce
the number of clips which have been selected.
TOO MANY PARTITIONS!
There are too many partitions. The maximum
number of partitions available on the hard
drive is 23 in the USB HOST mode. Use a
new hard drive or formatted hard drive.
TOO MANY TARGETS!
A multiple number of devices have been
connected. Only one USB hard drive must be
connected. Make sure if a hub, multi-HDD,
etc. are not used. After disconnecting the
unnecessary devices, turn the power of the
required device off and then turn it back on.
TURN POWER OFF!
Turn the power off, and turn it back on for use.

UNKNOWN CONTENTS FORMAT!
A contents version mismatches or this is
a clip for which the unknown clip indicator
is displayed. Match the unit and contents
versions.
UNKNOWN DEVICE CONNECTED!
A DVD drive or other devices which are
not supported have been connected. After
disconnecting the unnecessary devices, turn
the power of the required device off and then
turn it back on.

VERIFICATION FAILED!
A mismatch was found by verification after
copying. Copy the data again.
W
WRITE PROTECTED!
The P2 card or SD card is write-protected.
Insert media on which data can be saved.
