Advanced (Recording pictures)
• If while recording motion pictures using the AC adaptor the power supply is cut off due to a
power cut or if the AC adaptor is disconnected etc., the motion picture being recorded will not
be recorded.
• When recording fast-moving subjects in the [ ] setting, some afterimages or distortion
may be particularly noticeable during playback.
• When you attach the stereo microphone (DMW-MS1; optional), it takes priority over the built-in
microphone. Refer to P164 for the stereo microphone.

Recording format Effect
[AVCHD]
This is the data format appropriate to playback on the high
definition TV, etc. High definition motion picture can be
recorded for long time.
[MOTION JPEG]
This is the data format appropriate to playback on the PC,
etc. It can be recorded with small picture size, making it
convenient when there is not much space left on the
memory card or when you want to attach the motion
picture to an e-mail on the PC later.
