Using a “Memory Stick” – Introduction
To prevent accidental erasure of images
Slide the write-protect tab on the “Memory Stick” to LOCK.
The position and shape of the write-protect tab may be different depending on the
model.

Stick the label on the labeling position.
Do not attach any other material than the supplied label on the labeling position.
Image data may be damaged in the following cases (Damaged image data will not
be compensated.):
– You remove the “Memory Stick” or turn the power off when data is being read or
recorded from/to the “Memory Stick” (the access lamp is lit or flashing).
– You use a “Memory Stick” in a location subject to the effects of static electricity or
electrical noise.
We recommend backing up important data on the hard disk of a computer.
On handling
•When you carry or store a “Memory Stick,” put it in its case.
•Avoid touching the metal terminals with fingers or metal objects.
•Do not bend, drop or apply strong shock to a “Memory Stick.”
•Do not disassemble or modify a “Memory Stick.”
•Do not let a “Memory Stick” get wet.
On location for use
Do not use or keep a “Memory Stick” in locations that are:
– Extremely hot, such as in a car parked in the sun or under the scorching sun
– Under direct sunlight
– Very humid or subject to corrosive substances
