3. Pull out the output tray extension and insert your paper against the right side of
the sheet feeder.
Check the following as you load paper:
■ Always load the short edge first, even for printing landscape-oriented
documents.
■ Load the printable side face-up. It’s usually whiter or brighter than the other
side. (Epson paper packages open with the printable side face-up.)
■ Load letterhead or preprinted paper into the printer top edge first.
■ Don’t load paper above the arrow on the left edge guide.
4. Adjust the left edge guide to fit lightly against the paper.
Note: The left edge guide might move slightly during paper feeding and printing.
Do not adjust the edge guide during printing.
