6 Attach the shaft.
1 Insert the shaft from the slot on the left side.
2 Close the cover.
7 Close the ADF.
For details, refer to "1.4 Opening/Closing the ADF" (page 24).
8 Reset the consumable counter.
Start up the Software Operation Panel and reset the counter.
For details, refer to "Resetting the counters" (page 167).
Confirm that the brake roller is installed properly.
Otherwise, it may cause feeding errors such as paper
jams.
Be careful not to have your fingers caught
when the ADF closes.
