Ê Open the server (see “Opening/closing the housing” on page 114).

Ê Use the diagnostic LEDs (1-8) to identify the faulty memory module.
The diagnostic LED lights up/flashes orange and indicates the slot on the
memory board (1-8) that is occupied by the faulty memory module.
Ê Make a note of which LED (1-8) on which memory board (A-D) is lit/flashing
orange.
Ê Exit all applications and shut down the server properly (see section
“Switching the server on and off” on page 67).
Ê Pull all power plugs out of the insulated sockets of the rack's internal power
supply.
