The Mode Dial
Before shooting, press the mode
dial lock release (q) and rotate
the mode dial to choose a shoot-
ing mode (w).
5 (auto): The camera

You choose shutter
speed and aperture

MY1, MY2, MY3 (“my settings”): Recall settings
saved using Reg. My Settings (pages 53,
114–116).
A (aperture priority): You

speed for optimal ex-
